This is the first battle from the URL Ultimate Freestyle Friday 7 week tournament that aired on BET 106 & Park hosted by Bow Wow and our number one Battlerap Promoter SMACK. BET has teamed up with URL to introduce battle rap to the masses via BET. Gots to say this is a great look for Smack and the URL and also a great look for battle rap in general. A lot of fans were thinking because BET hosted this event and it will be aired on television that we were going to get a watered down version of the URL, that was not the case here.Chosen to start this epic event was Ill Will Vs Danja Zone. Ill Will out of Pontiac, MI always comes prepared and ready to tap a jaw or two with his aggression and his bars that reek of a strict uncle coming down on you. Danja Zone out of Prince George's County, MD has the schemes for you and a delivery and stage presence thats instantly demands your attention.That being said lets get to reviewing.
Danja Zone goes first and I have to say he had a spectacular round. Danja's delivery is nice, you can tell he's meant for this and got bars to match up with the best of them.
Quotable: "You bowl and gutter the only time you bowed and gutta I bowed and gut da bol after I Riddick Bowed his gut."
Danja Zone is dope!
Now ol uncle Ill Will never comes to play and he sure didn't come to play here. Ill Will that bol that you know if he sticks around his top tier slot its at arms reach. Ill put a smile on every street kat face when he spits and a sparkle in the eye of every fan thats hoping to here some dope bars.
Quotable: " I'm the vet so either respect the vet or set the bet I'll disconnect this n***a like an erector set , when that weapon flex I aint stopping till he set for death, I'm a business man - even if he quit he still gettin those last bucks like a severence check."
It don't get no more grimier than that.
Ill Will was crazy dope but I felt Danja landed more punches in this round to edge it.
ROUND 1 Danja Zone
Round 2 both these talented emcees stepped it up and brought a flair of uniqueness with the bars. Danja heckled Ill about using jamaican accented gangsta bars then did a Russian accented gangsta bar in return. Quotable:imagine this with a very heavy russian accent: "F wit Zone baaaad for your F'n health this is ridiculous tell me who do I have to punish next, put them in a hostile inviornment or something else, make him play russian roulette by his F 'n self."
Crowd started dying laughing, it was too dope.
But Ill Will popped out the trash can like Oscar the Grouch and started pounding on Danja something awful. Ill really got it, and in this round his punches were more back to back and he was crazy focused Quotable: "Your arms to short to box wit God you got baby fist you gotta have that navy grip these hands crazy quick uppercut make you do a baby flip you swing I lean act right then left the n***a like a shady B."
Ill Will bars were hard with comedy to boot, always a good combination.
Ill bodied this round.
ROUND 2 Ill Will
Round 3 was crazy from both these two but Ill Will just over shadowed Zone by slapping him with ether punches and his aggression was filled with the spirit of a tazmanian devil out the cage.
Now Zone was in his bag and his schemes were darn right hittin but Ill just gave you a feeling of "HE WON". So I gots to say Ill edged this round good.
ROUND 3 Ill Will
Now we use that word classic a little to much when it comes to these battles but this battle right here was definitely that... A CLASSIC!
Both these bols really came with it and Danja Zone gave Ill Will a run for his money.
This was a great battle and who was greater stood out and that was Ill Will.
